Environmental management and monitoring aims to prevent, mitigate and control significant impacts caused by the company's operations as a whole.

Implementation of UKL/UPL refers to the AMDAL document approved by the Central AMDAL Commission of the Ministry of Environment in order to minimize negative impacts and maximize positive impacts to achieve optimal benefits for the company.

PT. Erna Djuliawati implements UKL/UPL on an ongoing basis contributing to the management of environmental, production and social aspects in maintaining sustainable forest management.

Broadly, the objectives of the Environmental Management Plan (RKL) of PT. ED is aimed to:
(1) Protected Area
(2) Ineffective Area for Log Production
(3) Effective Area for Log Production (physically and chemically)
(4) Biological Aspects
(5) Socio-Economy and Community Culture

Each of the above targets in the implementation of environmental management is divided into categories:
(a) Significant impact
(b) Source of impact
(c) Benchmarks/Parameters and
(d) Type of implementation management<
(e) UKL & UPL

Meanwhile, the Environmental Monitoring Plan (RPL) is a tool for monitoring RKL activities that is made annually which is an integral part of the RKL which is reported periodically every semester. In general the RKL activities of PT. ED can be seen LINK in table 1.
